Are You a Certification Program?
Are you an educator preparation program?
No. We are exam preparation. An educator preparation program is approved by your state to deliver coursework, field experience and student teaching, and to recommend you for a certificate; we are not one, in any state. That is not a technicality — it is a different product with a different regulator, and we do not sell it.
Does anything here count toward my coursework or field experience?
No. Not one hour of it. Your program’s coursework, its practicum or student-teaching hours, and its recommendation are what your state requires alongside passing scores, and nothing in this subscription substitutes for any of it or produces a credit.
Can you issue or recommend me for a certificate?
No. Certificates are issued by your state education agency on a recommendation from an approved preparation program. We issue nothing — no certificate, no credential, no letter, no credit.
So why buy this as well as my program?
Because programs prepare candidates for the tests unevenly, and the tests are pass-or-fail with a fee attached. A program is built around learning to teach; a certification test is built around a published framework with its own weights, its own written sections and its own scoring. Most candidates who fail one did the coursework.
Do you administer, register for or score any test?
No. Registration, scheduling, the fee and your score report are between you and the testing vendor, and your state decides which scores it accepts. We prepare you; they own everything else.
The Performance Assessment
Will you help with my edTPA or my program’s performance assessment?
Not with yours, and we will not pretend otherwise. A performance assessment is an assessment of your own teaching, and the terms you agree to when you submit require the work to be yours. Outside authorship is not a shortcut with a risk attached — it is the thing the assessment is designed to detect, and being caught can end a candidacy.
Not even a review of a draft?
No. Not the video, not the artifacts, not the commentary, not a draft, not “just for feedback”. There is no tier and no arrangement in which we would, and anyone offering you that is offering you a problem in nicer wording.
Then what do you actually do for it?
We let you practice the genre. The commentary these assessments ask for — analyze a lesson, justify a decision with evidence, read student work and say what it shows, describe what you would change and why — is specific and learnable, and you practice it on classroom cases we made up for the purpose, graded against a rubric, without limit. Then you write your own submission about your own teaching, which is the only way it is supposed to happen.
Does my state even require one?
Ask your program. States have added, waived, replaced and retired these on different schedules over the past few years, and some programs run their own instead of a national one. Anyone who tells you the answer without asking which program you are in is guessing.
The Tests
Which tests are covered?
The Praxis Core, the PLT in all four grade bands, the Elementary Fundamentals tests, roughly ninety Praxis subject tests and the ParaPro Assessment; your state’s series where we have built it; the reading tests; and the principal and superintendent exams. Teaching Foundations is free and needs no subscription.
Which series are covered?
The ones named on the state page, and only those. We do not publish a number and we will not say “every state” before it is true — a count is a claim you cannot check and a list is one you can. If your series is not there, it is not built yet.
Which tests does my state require?
Your state education agency’s certification page is the authority, and it is the first thing to read. Required tests differ by state, by certificate area and by route in, and they change. A common shape is a basic-skills test, a pedagogy test, one or more content tests, and increasingly a reading test.
Do I get real test questions?
No, and be wary of anything that offers them. Live items belong to the vendor or the state agency, reproducing them violates the agreement you sign at the test center, and a candidate found with them has a certification problem rather than a study advantage. Everything here is written from the published frameworks, standards and statutes.
How is the passing score set?
By your state, not by the vendor — which is why the same test passes at different numbers in different places, and why a percentage on a practice test is not a meaningful comparison. Readiness here is reported as a score band against your state’s cut.
Is the principal exam included?
Yes, on the same subscription, whenever you get to it — including a decade later. That is most of the argument for a subscription: what you proved on the Core, the pedagogy test and your content test is still proven when you come back, and everywhere else you would buy that overlap again.
Retakes, Attempts and Moving
What happens if I fail one?
You resubscribe for the weeks you need and pick up where you left off, with your history and your weak areas intact. Failing a certification test is a normal outcome — half of every elementary cohort fails at least one subtest — and it is not a disqualifying one.
How long do I have to wait?
A Praxis test can be retaken after 28 days with no limit on attempts. State series differ, and some cap attempts — Texas allows five per test. The rules and fees are the vendor’s and your state’s, they change, and they are worth confirming before you plan a date around them.
Four weeks is an awkward amount of time. What do I actually do with it?
Not the whole course again, which is what a static bank offers you. What helps is the specific thing that cost you the points, drilled until it is not the specific thing any more — which requires a product that remembers your first attempt. That is exactly what the profile is for.
I am moving states. Do I start over?
Not here. The pedagogy, the subject knowledge, the reading science and the special-education content are the same body of material behind every series; your profile re-composes onto the new state’s frame and you study the delta. What we cannot tell you is whether your existing certificate transfers — reciprocity and any test waiver are your new state’s decision, and their answer changes what you need to study.
I am teaching on an emergency certificate with a deadline. Does that change anything?
It changes the plan, not the product. Give Autopilot the real deadline and the real minutes you have after a full teaching day, and it builds around that and rebuilds when the week goes badly. What it will not do is tell you that you can pass a test you are not ready for — the readiness estimate shows its confidence for exactly that reason.
How It Works
What makes this different from a question bank?
It works out what you already know and stops spending your evenings on it. A bank hands every candidate the same questions in the same order and calls a percentage a readiness score; this picks the next thing because of what you just did, traces a wrong answer to the thing underneath it, and rebuilds your plan when you miss a week. Practice tests are composed rather than drawn, so there is nothing to exhaust.
What does “pedagogy questions, sourced” actually mean?
That every “what should the teacher do” item’s rationale names the framework its key derives from — a teaching standard, your state’s educator standards, a provision of federal special-education law, the reading-science consensus, or the leadership standards on the principal exams. You can go and read the source. Elsewhere in this category, “best practice” means the study guide author’s opinion.
Are the constructed responses really graded, and really unlimited?
Yes to both, on every plan. You see the rubric before you write, submit under the real time constraint, and get back a score on each criterion with the sentences that earned or cost the points — in about a minute. There is no cap and no per-essay charge, because writing improves by repetition and a product that meters attempts teaches people to stop after one.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The web app runs in a modern browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, and there are native apps as well. The written sections want a keyboard for obvious reasons; everything else is comfortable on a phone in a staff room.
Is my work private?
Yes. Zero tracking cookies, zero third-party analytics, zero tracking pixels, and fonts served from our own servers rather than a third-party CDN. Your essays and your proficiency data are yours.
Is it accessible?
The platform meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA: full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, a high-contrast theme beyond dark mode, reduced-motion support, and text that scales to 200% without breaking. Details on the accessibility page.

Money & Timing
What does it cost?
$29/mo month to month, or $23/mo billed annually at $276 — which saves $72 and is cheaper from month ten onward. There is no premium tier above it and no purchase per test title. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
When does it launch?
Monday, June 21, 2027. Nothing is charged before then, and the waitlist is how you find out which series opened on day one.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in one click. Paid access runs to the end of the period you already paid for and nothing renews after that. Switching off between tests and back on for the next one is the normal pattern.
Are test fees included?
No. Registration and the fee go to the testing vendor — commonly $55 for the paraprofessional test, $79 to $156 for a certification test, and considerably more for a leader exam. Fees change; confirm the current figure when you register.
Am I better off with the free course first?
Quite possibly, and it costs nothing to find out. Teaching Foundations covers how students learn, planning basics, and the reading, writing and mathematics skills underneath every test on this roster, and there is a free basic-skills practice test with it — which matters, because the free official one this market relied on was withdrawn in 2024.
Do you sell to programs and districts?
Yes, as seat-based institutional accounts — university preparation programs, alternative-certification providers, and districts carrying teachers on emergency or intern certificates. Pricing is on request and depends on the number of seats. A seat is the same product an individual gets: not coursework, not field experience, and no credit.
Is there a pass guarantee?
No. We do not offer one and we are not going to imply one. Nobody can guarantee an outcome on a test they do not write, and a guarantee in this category is usually a set of conditions you are unlikely to satisfy rather than a promise — read them before they count as a reason to buy.
